Hewlett Packard is one of the most well-known names in consumer and industrial technology in the world. They are one of the leading computer manufacturers in the world, and their name is virtually synonymous with printing. When they needed a web solution for a new commercial printer, they came to Art+Logic for our development and design expertise.
+ Project: Embedded Web Interfaces
HP has partnered with Art+Logic on three separate occasions to build embedded web interfaces for different printers. Originally, the Barcelona division of HP requested our help with a web interface for the DesignJet, a large format printer. As we were working with the Barcelona division, we had to comply with European Community (EC) standards and support extensive internationalization, including Japanese (which means it had to support double-byte characters and changing languages on the fly), English, German, Italian, Portuguese, French, and Dutch. The interface we developed allowed users to log in, change various job priorities, and order supplies via embedded store links, which required us to match existing branding. Subsequently, the Barcelona division hired us to create similar embedded interfaces for the Cervino and Diesel printers as well.
