A digital world where intelligent agents can browse, decide, and perform tasks for you. We're going to talk about that in today's "Two Minutes on Tech," brought to you by Art and Logic.

Welcome to the future. The Open Agentic Web is already starting to take shape. In today's web, you do the clicking, the typing, the comparing, and the deciding. In the agentic web, AI agents will do that for you, navigating services, managing workflows, and making intelligent choices based on your goals, preferences, and permissions—hopefully without too much hallucinating.

To make this possible and secure, we need open standards and infrastructure. Enter Model Context Protocol, a new way for agents to safely access data and services using the sign-in methods and permissions you already trust. There's also NL Web, a new layer of the web where sites share their existing content with AI in a rich, structured, and semantic way.

This isn't some locked-down ecosystem; it's designed to be open, expansive, and collaborative so developers, businesses, and end users can all benefit. Websites become interactive environments, agents become collaborators, and users become orchestrators, not just operators. It enables agents to access GitHub, Copilot Studio, Azure AI, and Windows via MCP. Agents are being trained to interact with compliant services, and NL Web is helping websites become agent-readable and action-ready. And I'm not talking about Agent Smith from The Matrix—different kind of agent. Or is it? Mr. Anderson...

So, what does it all mean? We're moving from a search-and-click internet to a goal-driven, agent-powered one. Soon, the Open Agentic Web could power everything from enterprise tools to personal assistance, scientific research, and beyond. The foundation is being laid right now. With the Open Agentic Web, the next internet won't just be browsed; it will be lived through intelligent AI agents.
